Outdoor Project Life Coaching

“I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees” Henry David Thearuex

Lifestyle Coaching

Most people completely misjudge life coaching as a prescription service to improve your life - but this is far from accurate. Life coaching is a set of techniques that allow a good coach too illicit from the coachee goals and action plans to achieve them. A good coach also provides the framework to build the confidence to strive for your highest dreams.

Why do we all need one?

Most of us (myself included) have to admit there are lots areas of life we would love to throw ourselves into, but when we question why we're not ,the answers get vague.

Too much time, too much effort, not possible are all synonyms for fear of failure, despite huge potential rewards. Life coaching can help you get past these barriers, and take the bold step towards your life goals.

Why use adventure and outdoors projects?

Nature both humbles and inspires us, and these feelings transfer into normal life, both being key for self improvement. The calm we experience in nature teaches us what matters and what doesn't in the rest of life.

Setting yourself an outdoor project (be it climbing Ben Nevis or skiing across Iceland) brings determination, risk analysis and decision making to the rest of your life.

Being more in touch with nature (from growing basil to being self sufficient) makes us realise and appreciate the simpler things in life, teaching us to be more content with what we have, and to spend less time striving for meaningless highs.

Who am I?

I have always been passionate about spending time in the outdoors. From bivvying in the woods when I was six and learning to climb using old ship ropes, I have moved on to setting the UK record time for the hardest ski race in the world, making the first ascent of a Himalayan peak, and organising numerous other expeditions. Adventures in the great outdoors have always inspired and motivated me to succeed and be happy in the rest of my life.

What can I offer?

The first step is to figure out if coaching is going to help you. For this I run complimentary 20 minuet introductory sessions where we investigate whether coaching would suit your needs.

The next step is to commit to a program, long or short depending on your requirements. During these programme we will have regular one to one sessions, build actionable game plans, and regularly review your progress. By the end you should be some way into being more in touch with nature and be seeing the benefits in the rest of your life.

Seth Ford gave an inspirational account with pictures of his adventures in different parts of the world in extreme conditions of ice, snow and gales and climbing a mountain in the Himalaya's which had never been climbed before and got to name it! He is only a young man and we hope to follow his expeditions in future - maybe South America next?!
